So Make It allows people under the age of 18 to join. They enjoy full membership, except for key holding, and are limited in what equipment they may use.
The membership subscription remains the same as for adult members.
Parental Permission
A parent or legal guardian must consent to their child joining. They must sign the Junior Members Form (provided by the trustees upon request), along with completing the standard membership form on the website.
After this, the junior member must be accompanied by a responsible adult. This does not need to be a parent or legal guardian, and they need not be a member. This responsible adult assumes all responsibility for the actions and safety of the junior member.
Proof of Identity and Address
Due to the difficulty of providing proof of identity and address for minors, a parent or legal guardian shall provide proof of identity and address for themselves.
Keyholding
Junior members are not eligible to become keyholders.
If one or more parent, guardian or responsible adults also become a member, they may become a keyholders under the usual policy.
At age of maturity
Junior members become regular members at the age of 18.
